Chila Bags #gottohaveit

Don’t you just LOVE IT when you come across an accessory you really just have to have? That basically leaves you with absolutely NO CHOICE but to buy it (thinking about it…this happens a lot to me, strange). Chila Bags instantly had this effect on me. Created in 2013 after a trip to La Guajira, northern Colombia, the designers fell in love with the beautiful handmade bags made by the women of the Wayuu tribe. Made as part of the Wayuu women’s culture and traditions – the skills passed down from generation to generation – each bag is one of a kind, and takes 10-15 days to be made with all colours and designs being completely unique.

Working personally with the Wayuu women (and making sure they are fairly paid, work in good conditions and are taken care of), the brand has seen the bags rise in popularity. With their colour-popping patterns, long straps and cool festival vibe they’re the perfect accessory for the summer...
