Now, for this week’s HOT LIST there was quite a fight for the number one spot. Moving in front in incredible style however is (drum roll please)…the latest BANG-on-trend, too-cool-for-school, catwalk-copy from high-street giant, FrenchConnection: the Catrin shoe. Sleek, well-mannered and effortlessly chic, this minimalist, two-strap beaut is the perfect shoe to work into your SS14 wardrobe (which will of course be filled with Gareth Pugh and Nina Ricci-like garments, just achingly perfect for pairing with these gorgeous block heels). Oh, and that catwalk-copy reference? Why! They’ve not only gone and bagged a Richard Nicoll SS14-esque beauty (AND at a much more affordable price tag of £90). I’m in LOVE, are you?
Just a smidgeon behind (literally millimetres – damn not even millimetres) in the number two spot is ASOS’s minimal drop. Take some time out from all the glitz and glam in the new year and fill your wardrobe with some effortlessly clean, minimalistic lines from the online wonderland. There’s something delightfully relaxing and chic about the drop’s monochrome palette, and, on another note – it will certainly get you in the mood for the new season.
This week’s final spot is taken by Textile Federation and their STONKING great prints. In particular – the brand’s Sweater Dress in Opaque New York, £60. As you’ll already know (if you spotted my Textile Federation x Vodafone LondonFashion Weekend post) the federation supports a community of the world’s best emerging contemporary textile print designers – and does expertly so! I’m completely besotted with the beautifully fluid prints and colour-popping palettes.
